What is your role at Mikrodust?
My work at Mikrodust consists of two parts. The first part is all about planning out a complete test fixture using CAD software. Making everything reliable and easy to maintain. There is a lot to consider when building a test fixture. Test points, connectors, buttons and LEDs that needs to be connected to, pushed and detected all within a very limited space. It’s like playing 3D Tetris.
The second part is manufacturing all the parts needed for the fixture. We do everything ourselves and I have an amazing CNC machine and several 3D-printers at my disposal. Accurately machined parts are key when building test fixtures as the tolerances on the devise under test are usually pretty tight to begin with. It’s a challenge every time.
1. If You Are Stranded Alone on An Island, What Will You Do?
If there are big spiders on the island, I would build a boat and leave.
2. Have you ever been mistaken for someone famous?
No, I don’t think so. But with a cowboy hat and a mean squint I think I could pull off a decent Clint Eastwood.
3. What is the worst advice you have ever received?
“Don’t follow your dreams, there’s no money in that. Do something boring that pays good instead. “
4. How did you end up at Mikrodust?
My long-time friend Ola talked me into it. He mentioned something about fika.
5. If you could only use one emoji for the rest of your life, what would it be?
is one of my most used emojis. I’m a positive guy, except when it comes to spiders.
6. What has been the best day of your life so far?
The days my daughters were born.
7. What is your dream destination?
Japan. They have the best tools for carpentry, delicious food and fast trains. And ninjas.
8. What can you contribute to Mikrodust?
I’ve always been building things; Lego, furniture and test fixtures (not necessarily in that order) so I would say I contribute with my experience of building things.
