One-Stop-Shop

One-Stop-Shop for Production Test

Mikrodust's unique 'One-Stop-Shop' concept provides complete test fixtures for production tests. Our offering covers Functional-Circuit-Test (FCT), In-Line-Test, and Final-Assembly-Test (FAT) based on the exclusive Atomik® technology.

Completing Your test fixture to the highest quality standards, and meeting short time-to-market requirements, our Service & Support team of experienced and skilled engineers is at your service. All capabilities reside in-house to design, develop and deliver a test fixture, from hardware and software to mechanical engineering.

At Mikrodust, we understand the importance of having a clearly defined process that takes you from initial discussion to delivering a complete test fixture. Our ten years of experience have enabled us to implement just that!

Scroll down and take a look at our easy-to-follow three-step process! Project management made transparent. The result? A test fixture delivered at the correct specification, at the right cost, and at the right time.

"AtoMik® - we bring quality to innovation”

AtoMik® Services

The earlier you involve Mikrodust in your project, the higher likelihood of success! A test fixture consists of many parts, hardware, software, and mechanics! Our services are here to support You all through the development process. Our over ten years of experience have shown us that a well-defined test specification and a Design-For-Testability analysis (DFT) form the foundation for a great outcome.

The next step is factory firmware development, test sequence implementation, and validation. The test fixture is close to being ready, and AtoMik®Platform provides all the components required to build a test fixture in a modular, robust, and maintainable way. Once the test fixture runs at the production site, it will generate large amounts of test data. Interpreting production data requires skills and competencies, and our experienced staff will gladly help you. The outcome? Improved yield and fast corrective actions to maintain volume production without costly interruptions.

AtoMik®Support

Mikrodust's technical support team staffed by experts who have in-depth knowledge and are available to put your mind at ease. Having delivered over 200+ complex test fixtures, they are familiar with common issues and how to troubleshoot and solve them effectively. Simply put, they are here to ensure your test fixture operates smoothly and without interruptions!

Remote access through the cloud-connected Atomik® Platform allows for software updates, instrument calibration, and preventive maintenance. Our comprehensive support offering includes test fixture installation bring-up and local test staff training at your manufacturing site. Zendesk is used to provide customer service and get the job right done!

How We Work

Since 2011 Mikrodust has delivered over 200 fixtures and has tested more than 50 000 000 products. Success has sometimes been challenging! One thing we have learned over the years is transparency towards our customers in How We Work!

By having a simple three-step process, we have reduced risks and improved quality but, perhaps most crucial, built trust. Follow the 1-2-3 steps below to ensure everyone involved in the project is on the same page and working towards the same goals.

1. Commercial Phase

The commercial phase typically starts with reviewing and signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Both sides protect their intellectual property rights (IPR)—the next step? Customer requirement specification review.

The review results in Design-For-Testability analysis (DFT), ensuring the DUT (Design-Under-Test) solution is optimized. A good DFT translates into a well-defined test specification. The foundation for an excellent outcome is in place when the Production Test begins.

A complete test fixture is quoted, including AtoMik®Platform and AtoMik®Portal features, and the related project timeline.

The agreement is signed, PO is issued, and we move to the next step!

2. Development Phase

Our team of experienced and skilled experts is hard at work in the development phase, overseen by a project manager (PM). The PM holds regular project meetings with the customer and ensures meeting deadlines.

The probe support plate, test needle guide, and routing PCB are all essential components for a high-performing test fixture. 3-D printers, Datron High-Speed CNC machines all reside in-house. A local partner provides the routing PCB with a short lead time. The mechanical solution mounts inside the test fixture with Mikrodust's proprietary AtoMik®-Instruments.

The software department completes the test sequence and other adaptations to the customer systems. Once finalized, software bring-up starts, and connection to the customer system is verified.

A pre-batch test of 10-50 DUT is done at Mikrodust premises. Test limits are adjusted along with final modifications before the fixture is ready to be shipped to the production site.

Installation at the production site and training of local test operators are all part of our comprehensive support offering.

3. Production Phase

We are now in the production phase! Provided we have followed the above steps, it should be smooth running from here!  Following the delivery approval, a checklist guides every step of preparing the test fixture for production. Pre-series are run, allowing for fine-tuning test limits and getting test operators familiar with the equipment.

Services and support as agreed in the Service-Level Agreement (SLA) are implemented, which can provide software updates, instrument calibration, and preventive maintenance. Quality Management service assists in setting KPIs, alarms, and events.

Further service options include remotely monitoring yield, pareto, and measurement results and providing corrective actions to maintain production. Reports are provided at regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
