Partnering with
Clients from Planning
to Production

We understand the complexity of the whole process and give you a tailored solution that meets each project’s specific needs and goals. By involving us early in the project, you benefit from our comprehensive understanding of test strategy, test specifications, and Design-For-Testability (DFT) analysis.

How We Work

Our simple three-step approach reduces risks, improves quality, and builds trust.

1. Exploration Phase

Step 1

Exploration Phase

  • Reviewing and signing the NDA to protect intellectual property rights (IPR) is always important to us.
  • Customer requirement specification review and Pre-Study: this process includes a Design-For-Testability (DFT) analysis to optimize the DUT (Design-Under-Test) solution, resulting in a well-defined test system specification for production testing.
  • Quotation and agreement: after quoting the AtoMik® Suite, and establishing the project timeline, the agreement is signed and a purchase order is issued.
2. Development Phase

Step 2

Development Phase

  • Our experienced team, led by a project manager (PM), ensures timely development progress through regular customer meetings.
  • Essential components like the probe support plate, test needle guide, and routing PCBA are manufactured in-house using 3D printers and Datron High-Speed CNC machines, with routing PCBAs supplied locally for quick turnaround.
  • Mechanical solutions, including Mikrodust’s proprietary AtoMik® instruments, are integrated into the test fixture.
The software department customizes test sequences and integrates them with customer systems, followed by software bring-up and system verification.
  • Pre-batch testing of 10-50 DUTs is conducted at the Mikrodust premises, adjusting test limits and making final modifications before shipment to the production site.
  • Comprehensive support includes on-site installation and training for local test operators.

3. Production Phase

Step 3

Production Phase

  • Production Phase initiated: following the outlined steps, the production phase commences smoothly.
  • Test fixture preparation: a checklist ensures meticulous preparation for production after delivery approval.
  • Pre-Series Testing: pre-series runs allow for refining test limits and familiarizing test operators with equipment.
  • SLA implementation: services and support outlined in the Service-Level Agreement (SLA) are executed, including software updates, instrument calibration, and preventive maintenance.
  • Quality Management Services: assistance is provided in setting KPIs, alarms, and events to ensure quality standards.
  • Additional service options: remote monitoring of yield, pareto, and measurement results, along with corrective actions, are available to maintain production efficiency.
  • Reporting: regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) include detailed reports on performance and progress.

Providing Comprehensive
Test Expertise

Since Mikrodust was established in 2011, we have developed and deployed more than 200 test fixtures around the globe, at many of the finest electronics manufacturers (EMS). Our test expertise spans from initial design and development to the final production phases.
